Transjakarta Targets to Operate 10M Route This Month

PT Transportasi Jakarta targets to operate Pulogadung - North Jakarta Mayor Office via Tipar Cakung (10M) route by the end of this month.

PT Transjakarta Operational and Safety Director, Daud Joseph, said Transjakarta 10M operation should not be bothered since it replaces Metro Mini T41 which was stopped because of COVID-19. In fact, it still has same route.

"There were three services namely Transjakarta, Metro Mini (T41) and KWK. Metro Mini was stopped since COVID-19. But KWK is remain operated," he said, Monday (3/25).

He added that the community's public transportation needs for this route are quite high. As many as 600 passengers used this route on the first day the service operated. This means that the Transjakarta 10M service offers customers a choice in using mass transportation.

"People living in Cakung, Semper, Pasar Ular are happy with this service. But KWK seems objected," he added.

Joseph claims Transjakarta Pulo Gadung - North Jakarta Mayor Office via Cakung (10M) route will not eliminate Koperasi Wahana Kalpika (KWK) U03 drivers.

There are still many people in Jakarta who need public transportation services. He believes that the route traversed by Transjakarta 10M still lacks of public transportation.

Transjakarta has cooperated with Jakarta Transportation Agency related the re-operation of Transjakarta 10M route.

"Based on last meeting with the agency, the permit could be issued lately by the end of this month," he stated.
